Our latest piece, and the first formally commissioned as part of the Fist Bloom project. This music combined Woody's drumming with some cool accordion playing. Initially listening to this we were struck by its Irish connections and decided to look to influences such as the famous Riverdance shows for inspiration. After a few sessions trying to fathom out some key features the piece began to go together smoothly.
This time we decide to go for a costume development, but for a while could not find a fabric to inspire. By chance - just as we were about to give up on it - we cam across a beautiful panne velvet in shades of green, brown, orange and cream that suited marvellously. We further enhanced the Celtic connections with spiral and shamrock motifs.
